What You’ll Find Here:

Here you'll find the businesses, products, and industries that Redde cannot support. To use Redde’s services, your business must remain compliant with these guidelines. Some industries come with higher regulatory requirements or risk considerations. In those cases, we may request additional documentation or conduct further due diligence before approval.

Prohibited Businesses - What does that mean?

Industries and products we cannot support under any circumstances.

Prohibited Businesses:

Card Brand Violations (GRIP, BRAM, VIRP, etc.)

This category includes any business that engages in practices that violate card brand rules or network regulations. Examples may include improper surcharging, unauthorized use of card network logos, misrepresentation of products or services, or attempts to circumvent monitoring programs. Because these violations create significant compliance, financial, and reputational risk, businesses engaging in card brand violations are prohibited.

Non-Value-Added Services

This category includes third-party websites that replicate official government services without providing meaningful added value. These businesses often charge fees for services that are available directly through government agencies at no cost or at a lower cost. Due to the potential for consumer confusion, misleading representations, and elevated dispute risk, this business type is prohibited.

Businesses with Active ADC Fraud or Compliance Investigations

This category includes any business currently subject to an open or ongoing ADC fraud or compliance investigation. While an investigation is pending, the associated risk and regulatory exposure prevent us from establishing or maintaining processing services. Businesses must resolve and formally close any such investigations before becoming eligible for approval.

Illegal or Non-Compliant Products, Services, or Activities

This category includes any product, service, or business activity that is illegal, prohibited, or in violation of applicable state or federal laws, regulations, or card association rules. Operating outside of legal or network guidelines creates significant regulatory and financial risk. As a result, these businesses are not eligible for processing services.

Unapproved Peptides and Research Compounds (BPC-157, TB-500, TB-4)

This category includes the sale or distribution of unapproved peptides or research compounds such as BPC-157, TB-500, and TB-4. These substances are not approved for human consumption by the FDA and are frequently marketed in ways that create regulatory and compliance concerns. Due to elevated legal, reputational, and card brand risk, businesses involved in these products are prohibited from processing.

Confirmed or Suspected Pyramid Schemes

This category includes any business model that primarily compensates participants for recruiting others rather than for the sale of legitimate products or services. Pyramid structures often create high consumer harm, regulatory scrutiny, and elevated chargeback risk. As a result, confirmed or suspected pyramid schemes are not eligible for processing services.

Cyberlocker and Unauthorized File-Sharing Services

This category includes platforms that host, store, or distribute files in a manner that facilitates copyright infringement or unauthorized content sharing. Cyberlocker services often present elevated legal, regulatory, and intellectual property risks. Due to these compliance concerns, such businesses are prohibited from processing services.

Unauthorized Gambling and Related Activities

This category includes gambling, wagering, lottery sales, betting services, and ticketing activities that are not expressly authorized or regulated by the applicable state or governing authority. Unauthorized gaming activities carry significant regulatory, financial, and card network compliance risks. As a result, these businesses are prohibited from processing services.

Get-Rich-Quick or Income Guarantee Schemes

This category includes programs that promise fast wealth, guaranteed income, or unrealistic financial returns with little effort or risk. These models often rely on exaggerated claims, misleading marketing, or unverifiable results. Due to elevated fraud, chargeback, and regulatory risk, such businesses are prohibited from processing services.

Kratom

This category includes the sale or distribution of kratom and kratom-derived products. Due to ongoing regulatory scrutiny, varying state-level legality, and elevated chargeback and compliance risk, these products present heightened processing concerns. As a result, businesses primarily engaged in the sale of kratom are prohibited from processing services.

7-OH (7-Hydroxymitragynine) Products

This category includes the sale or distribution of 7-Hydroxymitragynine (7-OH), a kratom-derived alkaloid. Due to heightened regulatory scrutiny, potential health concerns, and elevated compliance and chargeback risk, these products present significant processing risk. As a result, businesses primarily engaged in the sale of 7-OH products are prohibited from processing services.

Merchants Located Outside the United States and U.S. Territories

This category includes businesses that are physically located, incorporated, or primarily operating outside of the United States or its recognized territories. Due to jurisdictional, regulatory, and underwriting limitations, we are unable to support non-U.S. based merchants at this time. As a result, these businesses are not eligible for processing services.

Businesses with Open or Active Bankruptcy Proceedings

This category includes any business or principal currently involved in an open or active bankruptcy proceeding. Ongoing bankruptcy presents heightened financial and compliance risk that prevents the establishment or continuation of processing services. Eligibility may be reconsidered once the bankruptcy has been fully resolved and formally discharged.

Predatory Lending or Abusive Loan Practices

This category includes businesses that offer loans or financing products with deceptive terms, excessive interest rates, hidden fees, or unfair collection practices. Predatory lending models often create significant consumer harm, regulatory scrutiny, and elevated dispute risk. As a result, businesses engaged in predatory or abusive lending practices are prohibited from processing services.

Intellectual Property Violations and Counterfeit Goods

This category includes the sale or distribution of products that infringe on trademarks, copyrights, or other intellectual property rights. It also includes counterfeit, replica, or unauthorized merchandise marketed as genuine goods. Due to significant legal, regulatory, and card brand compliance risks, businesses engaged in intellectual property violations are prohibited from processing services.

We aim to be transparent about the businesses we can and cannot support, so there are no surprises during the application process. These guidelines are designed to protect merchants, consumers, and the integrity of the payment ecosystem. Certain industries present elevated legal, regulatory, or chargeback risks that prevent us from offering services. If your business falls into a restricted category, additional review or documentation may be required before approval. If you have questions, please contact us.
