Learn how deposits work, when to expect your funds, and what can affect the timing.

Knowing when your money will land makes it a lot easier to run your business. Here’s how deposits work and what can affect the timing.
When you accept a card payment, the money doesn’t go straight to your bank account. Your transactions are grouped into a batch, and once that batch closes, it’s sent off for processing. After that, the funds are deposited into the bank account on file.
Your account is set up with auto-batching, which means your batch closes automatically at the end of each day. No need to remember to close it yourself. Batches generally close around 10:00 p.m., though the exact time can vary depending on your setup and time zone. Want your batch to close at a specific time? Just reach out to our team and we can adjust it for you.
Once your batch closes, you can expect your deposit the following day. Any transactions that come in after your batch closes will be included in the next day’s batch.
If a deposit seems late or lower than your sales, it’s usually one of a few things: a weekend or holiday delay, transactions that came in after the daily cutoff and rolled into the next batch, or fees, refunds, or chargebacks being deducted. If something still doesn’t add up, reach out and we’ll take a look.
