account approved, now what?

What to do after your account is approved

Congrats, you’re approved! Here’s how to get set up so you can start taking payments with confidence.

1. Check your email for login instructions

Once you’re approved, you’ll receive an email with directions on how to log in to your dashboard. Your dashboard depends on your setup, so be sure to follow the steps in that email. This is where you’ll view transactions, track deposits, and pull reports. For a walkthrough of what’s available, check out our Dashboard Reporting guide.

2. Get familiar with your setup

Your account will be set up with the gateway and any equipment you chose during enrollment. Pick the guide that matches your setup to learn the basics:

If you’re connecting your gateway to your website or other software, our Integrate Into Popular Programs guide can help.

3. Run a test transaction

Before real customers start checking out, run a small transaction and refund or void it. It’s a quick way to make sure everything is connected and working the way it should.

4. Turn on your fraud protection

A few minutes of setup now can save you a lot of headaches later. Our Fraud Prevention guide covers the tools and settings worth enabling from day one.

5. Complete your PCI compliance

Every business that accepts cards needs to be PCI compliant. Our PCI Compliance guide walks you through it.

6. Show customers the cards you accept

Add card brand logos to your website or checkout so customers know they’re good to go. You can grab them from our Credit Card Brand Logos page.

Good to know as you get started

A couple of guides worth bookmarking now so you’re ready if they come up: Decline Codes explains why a card might not go through and what to do about it, and Navigating Chargebacks covers how disputes work and how to respond.
